Waterfront walkway offering spectacular views along the East River
Opened in 1950, the Brooklyn Heights promenade is a pedestrian walkway lined with trees, benches and flowerbeds that overlooks the East River. The promenade draws residents and visitors alike to experience the spectacular views of Manhattan, the river, Brooklyn Bridge and the Statue of Liberty.
Many poets (Crane and Whitman) viewed Manhattan from the Promenade. It has the most fabulous view of Manhattan's skyscrapers, the Brooklyn Bridge, the East River, and the Statue of Liberty.
