Place Matters Profile

Nominations

Tom Kaiser

The park in the early 1950's was the sight of car races and circuses as well as wild west shows, I know in the 1930's and 40's minor league baseball teams played there as well. (November 2008)

Woodhaven Cultural and Historical Society

Originally a baseball field and the site of the first night baseball game. Many famous ballplayers played here. The park has been replaced by houses and a supermarket.
