Founded as the Home Garden Settlement of New York in 1898, which, in the words of its founder, was "dedicated to the welfare of the street Arab." Renamed in honor of Mayor LaGuardia in 1956, it continues to serve the families and children of East Harlem.

A very interesting place where kids are given many gifts. (April, 2011)
