My favorite place in Manhattan is the end of Pier 45, under the canopy, when there is outdoor tango dancing. Every Wednesday and Sunday night, dancers gather there to dance by the water for hours. There are fantastic views of the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty. (March, 2011)
