The magic of the rotunda at the 79th Street Boat Basin transports me to the memory of the tunnel people with their TVs somehow running in the open air and in a flash it's summer years later and now transformed to a bustling outdoor restaurant reminiscent of a seaside holiday.

An unusual arcade, pleasant way down to the river--it used to have bronze turtles ringing the now defunct fountain.
